Kelley and Susan's State of the Union Address

Americans Following Obama:

In our opinion!
This whole state of the economy is pissing us off. It seems to us that we are riding a wave and some of us have made it and others haven't. Why is this? Well it's very simple, we have a Government that doesn't care. Our elected officials are cheats and liars. It's ok to bail out the crooks as in AIG and others, and its also ok to let mainstream America just die. It's the Kool-Aid theory, just give the people a little poison Kool-Aid, and wait for them to perish, that will make it easier for the Government to deal with things. Why bother with us, were just in the way.
We own a very successful photography company that is about to become extinct, We have the equipment, the inventory, and everything else ready to make a living but we can't get a bailout, ie... and short term loan to get back into the game, and why is that? Because our Government is too busy paying off campaign contributions, to the very liars and cheats that got us in this situation.

You need to be investing in the small business community, we are the ones that spend and employ America. Let AIG die, they were a scam to begin with along with Countrywide and others, working the system for personal gain. 10% of America is out of work and what is the Government going to do? Well they give the States Billions, and all the states are talking about is road repair, and all Obama talks about is alternative energy to create jobs, bullshit. Idaho, even though they are getting stimulus money, are cutting education and trying to raise prices to make ends meet. They want to increase gasoline taxes and motor vehicle license fees, and rainy day the stimulus money. This state is giving a 3% wage reduction to State Employees as a deterrent to layoffs. This is a rainy day, and the sooner you figure that out, the sooner we can get out of this.
You all wanted this President, that had no experience, and now you have him, and he appointed a cabinet that he owed favors to, and now you have a dysfunctional country. They all want us to tighten out belts, then why don't the legislators do the same? Hell no, that would be inconvenient to them.
If your an elected official you suck, and maybe you ought to get a job more suited to you, like being a used car salesman.
Kiss my ass

Boise couple looking for a photo intern

As you might have gathered we own Defiance Photography, a well known scenic and fantasy photography company. We are in Idaho these days and are working on re opening our physical sudio and gift shop again. When we were in Colorado with had several friends that enjoyed hanging out with us and working with us closely taking photographs and helping us with the production end of things. These friends helped us for the fun of it and to learn how a photo studio really works. Now that were here and our friends are still in Colorado we are looking for a local Boise person to join us, and work with us. If things go as planned, barring any more problem with the economy, it could turn into a real job.

If your not already a photographer, this would be a great chance to learn a bit about the industry. Typically we spend time in the mountains and resort areas taking photos, and of course we have cameras that you can use, you might find yourself photographing us, or maybe you in photographs with myself or Kelley. Our fantasy photography deals with Old West Scenarios and other fun things that cross our minds.

This isn't a 9-5 type of thing, and sometimes we work late into the evening. We aren't always out and about, but you would be welcome to travel with us. We have plans this summer to spend 3 days in Yellowstone doing a photo workup, and it should prove to be relaxing and fun.

If you don't mind being seen on the net and have a great imagination, and wish to experiment with photography and video work send us an E Mail and talk to us. You might outline a few things you might wish to do, or maybe a fantasy that you have always had, that we could help you achieve in photos.

This is about having fun and learning, etc... We know as well as everybody right now that we all need jobs, and we can't help you there right now. But we can, at least enjoy ourselves till this whole economy thing blows over. Remember, nothing ventured, nothing gained, and Defiance has survived this downturn.

These days

We haven't gotten very far here in Denver and our living conditions are rather nasty, but we are still kickin'. We are trying to get financing to re open our retail store, but with the economy in the shape it's in, it might be awhile. Our thoughts are getting out of here too and we have a few distant choices, but again we'll have to see what happens after the new Presidents takes over. Have you ever noticed that in an election year everything goes to crap, till the new Pres takes over? Yeah we're thinking the same thing. Anyways that's what's up
Till next time

Home in Colorado

We have arrived at our new home in Colorado which is located just outside Grand Lake. We are managing a small store on the property and can't wait for a day off so we can take some pictures to share on our sites. We'll chat some more in here when we get some time. If any of you remember the Fantasyland movie we did, that's our cabin.

Hurricane Fay

Just noticed we are up there as far as searchs for google and this storm. We wish to clarify a point before you all start asking questions. Fay never became a hurricane, and remained a tropical storm her whole, and very long life. She did attain huricane force winds both in southern Florida, and in our backyeard, but because she did this without an official reporting station seeing those winds, she remained a tropical storm. As far as we are concerned she earned the right of being called a hurricane. The record books will tell the story when Fay is done, so if you wish to ask us why we call it a hurricane, that's why. As for the hurricane party we had, we didn't, but after leaving the beach thursday night in gale force winds, we were rescued by some people in a beach house, who welcomed us with open arms, to say the least. We spent several hours huddled closely together till things quieted down again. We're supposed to meet them all for dinner tomorrow night, so we can all see who we were huddled with.
That's whats up tonight
Night Night Everybody

Fay is gone

It appears that the worst is over here. We have to start cleaning up now, and add to that selling our stuff, and getting ready for the move back to Colorado. We want to be out of here by Labor Day, We'll keep you posted
